Always shows romanji instead of furigana

So basically when i scan an image from a website using the web extension it works perfectly fine and detects all the words correctly, the only problem is that, no matter what i do in the settings, it always shows the romanji transliteration instead of the furigana above the words and in the popup with the meaning. In the settings i’ve selected furigana and tried activating and deactivating “show transliteration”, i’ve also tried every other combination of settings but nothing changes (i’ve tried it in both websites that are supported and also in random one and the result is the same).
